Who We Are

Inter Agency Insurance, Inc. (IAI) was founded August 12, 1998, by four independent insurance agencies, which had become well acquainted through many years of service and support to the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Western Arkansas, Inc. Collectively, the four agencies included five former presidents of the Association, and one former president of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Arkansas, Inc.

IAI is an insurance agency cluster. An insurance industry cluster has many of the same characteristics as a co-op. Clusters have become a widespread way for independently owned and managed insurance agencies to combine cooperatively the business they write with other agencies to enhance their relationships with insurance carriers. This serves the client customers by giving them access to products and pricing that might otherwise be available only through large regional, or national, insurance agencies. A cluster enables a local agency to retain local community presence, focus and service, which polls have repeatedly shown the insurance buying customer wants.
